Enough! Basta! Take Action
The Enough! Basta! project increases awareness of anti-abortion harassment outside women's clinics.

Take action!
A group of abortion
providers and allies who are members of ACN have called for a campaign
called "Enough! Basta! Stop Sidewalk Bullying at Women's Clinics." The
campaign has a Cause page on Facebook where you will be able to see
posted videos and donate to support more awareness of extreme bullying
outside clinics. We also have a channel on YouTube.com where we will
post videos. You can donate easily by using the DONATE button on our
homepage.
The
group is looking for photos, video, and audio of extreme protests
outside clinics and videographers who can convert footage to short
videos that will let the public know that this unacceptable behavior
has not gone away. Depending on the local situation, we will ask for
pressure to be brought to bear on local, state or national levels.
We
have a campaign goal to raise $10,000. The funds are needed to raise
awareness of bullying and harassment of women and clinic workers. We
are currently over 800 strong and have raised over $4600. You can
donate even if you are not on Facebook by using the DONATE button on
the homepage. Please also link to ACN and the Enough! Basta! campaign
from your website and Facebook page and inform your contacts and supporters of this
important campaign.
"Abortion providers who, after years and
years of harassment by anti abortion extremists, have had ENOUGH. In
some cases, we are seeing an increase in activity with the Obama win,
but in some cases it has just been relentless for years. It is off the
radar screen of the public and even prochoice folks. We would like to
create, and encourage the creation of, several videos that would shed
some light on this extreme behavior."
Our demands and beliefs:
- We demand that police departments enforce existing laws to protect women, families, and health care workers from verbal bullying and terrorism.
- We demand that local and state governments provide ordinances to protect health care clinics and that the Dept. of Justice step up their efforts to prosecute FACE violations, train local police, and protect clinics.
- Control and terror tactics practiced in the name of religion are not free speech that should be protected, but bullying that must be stopped.
